10 Ways To Stay Positive In Tough Times

10 Ways To Stay Positive In Tough Times

Do you ever feel like life is just too hard? I get it, we all go through tough times. Sometimes the stress of balancing work and home life can seem overwhelming or even impossible to overcome.

It’s during these moments that it’s important to remind yourself of the things about your life that are good so you don’t lose sight of what really matters! Here are 10 ways I have found to stay positive in tough times…

Number One: Never stop believing in yourself.

Remember that Heaven has a divine plan for you. You can call upon your Angels , Guides and loved ones in sprit whenever you need divine assistance.

Number Two: Reach out to your family and friends for support.

The people in our lives who truly care about us are there when we need them the most. There are somethings in life that you are not meant t go through alone.

Number Three: Live one day at a time, focusing on today instead of worrying about yesterday or tomorrow.

By living only in the present you can avoid stress, anxiety and depression by staying focused on what’s right in front of you instead of stressing about the unknown. A friend of mine once told me that 90% of the things we stress over never end up happening. So why stress?

Number Four: Exercise & Stretch.

When I am feeling stressed or anxious, one of the best ways to deal with it is by exercising for at least 15 minutes a day.

For me, walking is my medicine. Not only does exercise release endorphins in our bodies which make us feel better but when we are experiencing stress and anxiety oftentimes all we can think about is what made us upset. When you exercise, you reset your mind and reconnect with your soul.

Number Five: Be Grateful Every Day.

This probably goes without saying but it is so important to stay positive through tough times that I had to include it in the blog post content!

Being grateful for what you have, no matter how big or small, will give your life more meaning and make you feel better about yourself. You can do this by ending each night with a gratitude list.

Number Six: Spend Time With Loved Ones.

This is a great way to stay positive because it will allow you to be reminded of all the wonderful people in your life and that they care about you! You can do this by reaching our and reconnecting with the people in your life that you lost touch with.

Number Seven: Surround Yourself With Positivity.

Having positive people around you will help keep your spirits up and remind you that there is more to life than just negativity! You can do this by spending time with the right group of friends who are supportive.

Number Eight: Let Go of Negativity.

If someone is mean, hateful or negative, then they are just not worth your time. When you subtract negative people out of your life, you allow more positive people to find you.

People that are positive and uplifting will only add more positivity to your life.

Number Nine: Finding Gratitude In Everything.

The best way to stay positive is by being grateful every day for the small things in life, like a gorgeous flower or even something as simple as having enough food on the table. The more you acknowledge the goodness in your life, the more positive things you attract.

Number Ten: Do What You Love Everyday.

Remember not to lose yourself during times of stress. Stay focused on the things you love most in life. Take a day off from work if you can and do something that makes your soul happy. Dancing, Singing, Writing, Swimming or Journaling are all examples of ways to bring back happiness in your life.

Lastly, Remember to love yourself when times get tough. This is the most important thing you can do for your own well-being and mental health. It’s easy to put pressure on ourselves during these hard times, but remember that self-love helps to heals your mind, body and soul you need.

You Will Make It Through This

You Will Make It Through This

The other day while I was on a video conference call when the person I was reading asked me if I was always happy.

That question immediately made me think back to a time in my life that I struggled with anxiety and depression. I remember those days when I felt like I had no motivation. I felt like each day passed by with nothing to look forward to. It was difficult and I tried to hide that it was happening from my friends and family.

It wasn’t until I overcame my anxiety that I finally got out of that dark place. Suddenly, the world seemed so different to me. Did you know that when you subtract negative energy out of your life, you make room for more positive people and opportunities to find you?

Negativity can drain you and make you feel like you are sinking, but only if you let it!

When you say enough is enough, you make the decision to release the pressure and heaviness that you have been feeling so it can no longer control you.

The Pathway to Positivity

The Pathway to Positivity

It’s easy to be positive and upbeat when things are going your way. However, there are times when the unexpected happens and you watch as your carefully crafted plans go out the window. Right now, out of the blue, practically the whole world is on lockdown and I can’t even imagine the number of weddings, graduations, vacations, and other events are being cancelled or postponed indefinitely.

Like many others, I had to cancel many of my own upcoming events. That was hard for me! I love doing readings, and I hate to disappoint all the people who bought tickets and were hoping to hear from a loved one in Heaven.

On the other hand, I have to admit that being confined to the house hasn’t been all bad. I’ve had more time to spend with Alexa, and I’ve been enjoying doing private readings and working on my next book. Also, this forced “time-out” had given me a chance to think about my own path and what’s really important.

One thing that is clear is the importance of positivity.

When you have a positive attitude, it makes it easier to find the silver lining in every situation. With the right mindset you’re more open to opportunities and alternatives that present themselves – and the more positive you are, the more good things you attract.

Choose Positivity!

There’s a saying that goes, Life is 10 percent what happens to you, and 90 percent how you react to it. If you believe that (and I definitely do) you realize that the power is in your hands to make the most of any situation.

You might think that’s easier said than done when you’re stuck at home, running out of toilet paper!

But let me walk you through a few reasons looking on the bright side actually makes things better.

  • Focus improves situations. Have you even been shopping for a particular model of car and suddenly you see it everywhere? There are so many things that you see, hear, and experience each day that it’s impossible for them to all register. But when you’re focused on something, suddenly you’re conscious of it every time it crosses your path. If you’re looking for good news, opportunities, and examples of kindness and heroism, those things are going to stand out when you come across them. You’ll feel better and more optimistic about the world, plus you will recognize signs and signals from the universe that will help you on your path.

  • Optimism is good for your mind, body and spirit. When I was a kid and I was sick, my mom would never let me just hang around in bed. She’d make me get up and take a shower and have something to eat. After doing that, I wouldn’t be cured, but I always felt much better. It’s the same with having a positive attitude. When you have a sense of optimism and you keep pushing forward, things may not be perfect, but you’ll feel a whole lot better, in every way, than if you sat around watching the news and anticipating the worst.

  • Positivity has a ripple effect. During the pandemic, staying home to protect yourself and everyone in your community is the right thing to do. We’re in this together. But negativity can be as harmful as the virus. If you have a positive attitude and look for opportunities to provide kindness and comfort, you’ll raise your vibration. You’ll feel better, the people around you will feel better, and the effects will ripple out to your community and beyond.

Just say no to negativity!

Negativity can drain you and make you feel like you are sinking, but only if you let it!

When you refuse to give in to negativity, you make the decision to release the pressure and heaviness that you have been feeling so it can no longer control you.

In this audio seminar with Matt Fraser, you will learn that you have complete control over your destiny and future happiness. Each step you take forward, Heaven and your loved ones will be there to help you and lift you up.

Positivity is so much more than a thought process; it is a lifestyle. In this life-changing, spirit-lifting seminar, you’ll discover how you can…

– Recognize positivity in your life.

– Use techniques to create and expand happiness and joy.

– Transform negative situations into positive outcomes.

– Create your gratitude journal that will assist you with a more positive outlook.

Leaving Behind Emotional Clutter & Negativity

Leaving Behind Emotional Clutter & Negativity

How To Clean Up The Emotional Clutter & Clear Spiritual Negativity

Do you have a closet or a drawer that just seems to collect things? Once a year or once a season (or, if you’re my friend’s mom, once a week!), it feels good to go through that drawer or closet and clean it out. You might find something you thought you’d lost, and there will probably be a lot of things you can recycle, donate or toss. There’s a feeling of lightness without all that extra clutter. Well, the same thing happens inside your head and in your soul! You accumulate emotional clutter, and every so often, it’s time to clean out your emotional closet and do a spiritual clearing-out!

Sort Out Your Feelings.

One way to start a spiritual cleanup is to pull out a good old pen and paper and start writing. Writing out things that are bothering you, things you wish were different can help you process all kinds of stuff. Maybe there’s someone you’re just not getting along with. Write about it. Write about what’s bothering you…and try to figure out why it’s bothering you. Here’s a hint. It’s sometimes not about the other person at all. Write about what you’re afraid of and the things you’re sad about.

Dive In Deep.

The same way you might divide a closet into things to keep, give away, recycle and trash, you can do the same thing spiritually. Make four columns. What are feelings, thoughts, ideas that bring you joy? Keep them. Maybe there are some things that used to be useful to you but just don’t fit your life anymore. Give those away by sharing the experiences with someone else. And then there are things that just don’t help and even hurt us. Get rid of them! The trash heap should include anything that doesn’t make you feel good about yourself, the negative self-talk, over-worrying, piles of fear. Put those in the bin and let them go!

You can also use meditation as a way to start or work through your spiritual cleanup. Meditation is a practice of quieting your mind, clearing your thoughts and becoming one with your body, mind and spirit. Take some time to reflect on a troubling issue either before or after you’ve written about it. You’ll be surprised how much more clarity you’ll get just from a bit of quiet.

Request Divine Assistance.

Spiritual cleanup is not easy. It’s a lot of work. But you don’t have to do it alone. Call on your spiritual guide to help you. Maybe even create a “Spirit Box.” It can be as fancy or as simple as you want it to be. When there’s something you know isn’t great for you, but you just can’t seem to let it go, write it down on a small piece of paper, fold up the paper and put it in the box. You might eventually try creating a ritual to let go. When you’re ready, burn the papers, bury them in the backyard while saying a positive affirmation. However you chose to handle it, releasing  those things to Spirit can help us let them go.

And when you’ve done the work, take a moment to appreciate the lightness in your spirit from a job well done!

10 Steps To Manifesting Happiness & Positivity All Year Long

10 Steps To Manifesting Happiness & Positivity All Year Long

I know how challenging it can be to get motivated and put yourself out there, but together with the help of those in spirit, I created a divine checklist to make this year better than you could ever imagine. You have complete control over your destiny and future happiness, and as your medium friend, I can tell you that each step you take forward, Heaven and your loved ones will be there to help you and lift you up every step of the way. Here are some of the things you can start working on to bring yourself into a new energy space and manifest positive things.

Step One: Let Any Negativity that Caused You Stress In Past Years Stay There!

Negativity can drain you and make you feel like you are sinking, but only if you let it! When you say enough is enough, and make the decision to release the pressure and heaviness that you have been feeling, it can no longer control you. Leave the negativity behind and decide that whatever was on your mind and caused you to stress will no longer be able to enter into your life. Instead, focus on inviting in the new; replace every negative thought or challenge with something or someone more positive who will bring you joy and compliment your life.

Step Two: Surround Yourself with Family and Friends that Bring You Happiness.

Is there someone you have been meaning to contact or reconnect with, but you keep putting it off? Make them part of your life by giving them a call and reconnecting. The people who you reach out to now and connect with will remain connected to you throughout this next year. If nobody comes to mind that you want to reconnect with, focus on creating new friends and relationships within your life. Life is so much more fun when you have people around with whom you can create memories and enjoy life. Sometimes it can feel uncomfortable at first to step out of your comfort zone and meet new people, but when you do you will love the experiences and friends you make and enjoy along the way.

Step Three: Set the Goals You Want to Achieve (Serious Ones This Time)

I know that in the past you may have made a goal and never had the opportunity to complete it. This year you’re not going to let that happen. To ensure that you stick to your goal and manifest it, take out your calendar and write in your goal every week. This works best if you write your goal in the beginning of the week, such as on Monday. Now your goal is part of your daily schedule, and you will be reminded each week to work towards it. At the end of the week, write down what steps you took towards accomplishing your goal. At the end of the year, when you look back at your calendar, you will see all of the progress that you have made. Pretty Cool right??

Step Four: Never Take No as an Answer

Just because a road block might be in your path, it does not mean you need to slow down. You can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. Know that heaven has created a plan for you to follow, and will lead you to success if you’re willing to take steps too. If something does not work out do not give up, because the timing may just be off. Instead take a moment to pause, look around you, and pursue another opportunity. Some things in life fall apart so that others can fall together in a better way. Just because the answer is no doesn’t mean that there is not a better opportunity for you to discover. Heaven will always lead you to the path that will benefit your highest and best good. Trust where they are leading you.

Step Five: It’s O.K to Put Yourself First Once in a While

How many times have you said that you wish you had just one day to yourself where you didn’t have to worry about anyone else? Make that a reality this year by planning one day a month to take a personal day for yourself. On this day don’t do anything that involves work, bills, or chores. Instead, focus on just relaxing and freeing your mind from all the everyday stress that has been accumulating. You can do anything on this day that will help you to relax and get back in touch with your soul. Days like this will help you to recharge your energy, and help you to balance the overload that you have been feeling.

Step Six: Re-Discover Your Spirituality

Have you wanted to feel more spiritually ‘In – Tune’ or connected with your Angels and loved ones in Spirit? Start by waking up each morning and saying hello to your Angels and Loved ones in Spirit. Just waking up and saying hello allows your loved ones and Angels to know that you are acknowledging their presence, and that you are open to receiving messages from them. This will allow them to reach you, and will also allow you to feel their presence each day and be reminded that they are by your side.

Step Seven: Open Yourself up to Change

With each day that passes new things begin to change and take place within your life. I know that sometimes change can bring fear of the ‘unknown’, but only if you let it. The most amazing thing about life is that it is an amazing journey that will guide you to new people, doors, and experiences. Enjoy where you are being led, and know that with each change you are learning, growing, and expanding yourself.

Step Eight: Forgive All Those Who Have Hurt You

Even if it was not your fault, forgive all of those who have hurt or disappointed you in the past. Forgiveness is the greatest gift that you can give to yourself at any time. When you forgive someone, you let go of all the negative energy that you have been carrying around with you. The moment that you let go and forgive, you lighten the energy around you and allow more positive energy to enter into that space.

Step Nine: Enjoy the Simple Things

The things that make life great are oftentimes the simplest things. Take some time this year to appreciate and enjoy the simple things in life. Reconnect with nature, be silly, be goofy, but most of all be you. So many times, life forces us to be serious; instead spend time reconnecting and discovering what makes you laugh.

Step 10: Let Down Your Walls

The only way people can help you and become part of your life is if you let down your walls and allow them in. I know that this may be a hard step for you, especially if you have been hurt in the past, BUT I can guarantee that when you let down you guard, and allow new people to enter, you will be glad you did. Every person that enters your life is meant for you to meet them for a divine reason. They may teach you something, provide support, or just be someone for you to talk to, but know that they are meant to be part of your life’s journey. Life is best enjoyed when you stop questioning, let down your guard, and embrace and enjoy life!

I hope that these steps will help you create a year that is filled with positivity, excitement, love & light. I know that Heaven will be with you and help you to manifest all of these things. Sometimes it’s just taking the first step that will change your entire world! If you enjoyed this blog post I would like to invite you to join my “Email from Heaven” monthly newsletter by clicking HERE.
