Religion, Heaven & The Afterlife

Religion, Heaven & The Afterlife

Do Different Religions Have Different Heavens ?

Someone wrote to me on Facebook recently to ask if Heaven looks and feels different for different religions. It’s a good question.

There are various religions with their own ways of doing things and their own places to worship. Holy places on earth look and feel different, so It makes sense that people might think it would be the same in Heaven. When I ask, Spirit tells me the answer is no. There is just one Heaven because we are all one – and Heaven isn’t a place that divides us. It reunites us.

We all coexist with each other here on Earth, meeting different people with different belief systems. It’s the same in Heaven. Together, we all enter into the same Heaven and coexist there too. But here’s the interesting part. Heaven kind of looks and feels different for every individual. But the important part is the same for everyone.

Religion is our own personal way to connect and safely speak to those in Heaven.

All religions were created by God as a way of helping us stay connected to Spirit and to remind us that those we love never truly leave us. The specific religion is not really what matters most. What matters most is LOVE. What matters is how you treat people and that you are kind. Hold close to your heart all that you find and believe is holy.

I was born and raised Catholic. Now, because of what I’ve learned through my psychic work I do, I consider myself more spiritual. I have learned so much by reading about many different religions. Each is beautiful and has something to teach us, and I welcome them all. In my house and office, I have status of Buddha, Jesus, Angels and even Ganesh. They remind me that no matter what religion you are, Heaven is a real place that is open to all who believe in its existence–and even to those who don’t!

Spirit tells me that religion is created to help us all find a way to connect to Heaven and also to help us through the rough roads and challenges we face. Religion gives us hope – something to hold on to during the times when we are struggling or grieving. Religion gives us a way of finding community and connection. We celebrate joyful events and special days, and we also turn to religion for comfort in times of sadness.

When people attend religious ceremonies, like regular services, weddings, baptisms, and even funerals, there is a wonderful connection that comes from being part of that kind of community. Having connectedness with other people can also help us get closer to Spirit.

Many people feel that prayer is their way of connecting with Spirit, and people practice prayer in many different ways.

To some people, prayer comes as the words of scripture. For others, prayer is a poem, or even just a thought that they send to Heaven. There are so many different, wonderful ways to pray, to connect to Spirit. One thing I know is that Heaven accepts mail of any kind. There is no wrong way to pray.

Meditation is another way people connect to Spirit. Sometimes just sitting quietly or listening to soothing music or following a guided meditation can open our minds and hearts to a closer connection to Spirit.

No matter what religion you are or how you connect to Spirit, you can be assured that we are all loved by God and all have Angels watching over us. And ultimately, there is no separation. Heaven is a place where our differences fall away and we all reunite with those we love.

How Can I Get Read At A Group Reading Event?

How Can I Get Read At A Group Reading Event?

How Can I Improve My Chances of Getting Read at a Psychic Group Reading?

My group reading are what I love doing the most. It’s so great to have personal interaction and meet so many of you up close and personal.

Most people come to group readings hoping to hear a message from their loved ones, and sometimes people are disappointed when they don’t receive a direct message. Some people do the strangest things they think will help them get a reading.

At every event it amazes me how some people come hours early to be first in line and rush to the front row seats in hopes of “being seen” by those in Spirit. People bring their loved one’s belongings, memorabilia and even ashes. One woman even brought her husband’s glass eye! People try all kinds of things to get a message. But does any of that really work?

Here are some things to remember about attending a group reading with a psychic medium…

Sit Anywhere

When you come to a reading don’t worry about where you are in the room, it doesn’t matter where you sit. If your loved one has a message, that message will find you. I have had messages for people sitting at the back of a room as often as I’ve had them for people at the front. The important thing is to come to the event with an open heart and a positive attitude.

That is why I treat every seat at my event like the front row. Each event is a group experience, and every seat is a good seat. I might get pulled to the way back corner to deliver a message to a mother who lost her son. Later, I may be pulled to the middle of a row to talk to a woman who lost her sister. Going in, I never know where the messages will be going, all I know is to listen and follow the direction of Spirit.

Be Patient

When your loved one has a message for you, that message will come when the time is right. Messages from Heaven don’t always come when we want them to or when we think they should. The messages come when we need them to and when we are supposed to receive them. Remember that time doesn’t matter, If your loved one passed recently, that doesn’t make it any more likely you will hear from them. Many times, It can be the ones that passed years ago that come through the strongest. If you don’t get a message during a reading, that doesn’t mean your loved one doesn’t want to talk to you. It might just mean that isn’t the right setting, and they will reach you in some other way.

Keep in mind that sometimes it can take up to a years time for a loved one to come through with a message. Not all the time, but sometimes it might take a little longer to hear from that special someone. This doesn’t mean they are not with you, it just means they are waiting for the perfect moment. Spirit will only deliver a message when you are ready to hear it and when it will help bring you happiness, comfort and joy.

Bring Memories, not Memorabilia

Your belongings don’t help when it comes to receiving a message at a group reading. Your loved ones are connected to you. To your loved ones in Heaven, memories and the soul connection you share are much more important than any physical objects. The physical objects are great for helping you feel the connection, but they aren’t necessary to your loved ones. Bring them if they make you feel good, but remember the connection is in your heart, not in your hands.

Have an Open Mind

Sometimes you might attend an event hoping to hear a message from your mom, but your dad comes through instead. It depends who has a message. You might even get a message from someone you don’t like or didn’t even want to hear from. Sometimes an ex-husband will come through with a message to apologize for bad behavior. It’s so important to keep an open mind and be receptive to whatever comes your way.

A group reading can be a great way to learn about the ways your loved ones try to communicate with you. Remember that they are learning how to communicate in this new way just as much as you are. They might come in a way you aren’t expecting, even through someone else’s reading! I have had many people tell me that even when they didn’t receive a message, the feeling of connectedness and hope of being part of a group reading lifted their spirits and gave them hope.

Don’t Let Doubt Stop You From Attending

The saddest thing I see is when someone comments on Facebook and says they won’t come to a group reading because they are not “guaranteed a reading”. I have to shake my head at that. Even during private one-on-one appointments I cannot guarantee that the certain loved one you want to hear from will come through. No Medium can say that for certain. When I channel a message it is a request from the other side, and it is Spirit who makes the decision on whether they decide to speak.

As the old saying goes ” you never know unless you try”. When you attend a group reading, your loved ones see it as an opportunity to reach you and speak to you. If there is a message waiting for you that you need to hear, they will make sure that it gets delivered to you. At a group reading I don’t pick the people, those in Spirit do. I just am the messenger waiting for the next message they need me to deliver.

During COVID19 my team & I have started something exciting new and different. I am now doing LIVE group readings online ! You and your family can gather around your computer or smartphone and be part of a LIVE video reading right from home. This is only going on for a short amount of time and space is extremely limited. If you would like to attend, CLICK HERE to find all the details.

I hope to see you online! There might just be a message waiting for you!

Release Those Chains !

Release Those Chains !

“I wear the chain I forged in life,” replied the Ghost. “I made it link by link, and yard by yard”

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

Before I dive into the real message of this blog, I have to share something about the way Spirit communicates that I think you’ll find interesting. Mediumship is a three-way psychic communication between the soul in Heaven, the person receiving the message, and the medium who serves as translator.

The tricky part is that Spirit doesn’t speak in straightforward words, instead they send signs, symbols, impressions, feelings, tingling sensations – you name it! When I started out as a medium, one of the things I worried about was that spirit would show me symbols that didn’t mean anything to me – I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to understand their “language.”

What kind of “translator” would I be if I couldn’t understand what the souls were trying to say?

But that’s not how mediumship works (thank God!). Spirit communicates impressions that make sense to the medium as well as to the recipient. In fact I’m often blown away when I get images and impressions that are so personal and meaningful to me that they speak a thousand words in just a flash. Keep that in mind as I share this story!

I was recently hosting a pretty large hotel event. There was a woman in the audience whose mother was coming through. The woman had passed a couple of years previously and she was letting me know that her death had been sudden and she had died with some unfinished business. She kept telling me to “Ask my daughter about her sister.” The woman in the audience was a little closed off to any reference to her sister, and finally blurted out – “I don’t talk to my sister at all.”

Suddenly I got one of those personal psychic impressions from Spirit. I looked at the woman in the audience, and just as the mother was telling me that she wanted the daughter to forgive her sister and mend the broken bridges between them, I got a vision of the younger woman dragging a big grey chain behind her.

The mother kept saying – “Don’t do what I did, forgive your sister” The daughter was resistant to the message, but the mother would not give up. I got another flash of the daughter with what almost looked like cartoon chains, draped over her shoulders weighing her down. It took me a minute to realize exactly what the mother was communicating and then it hit me.

It was a reference to my favorite Christmas special as a child, the Scrooge McDuck version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I used to drive my mom nuts, watching that over and over! The cartoon chains that I saw on the women in the audience were like the ones that the ghost of Jacob Marley was sentenced to drag around with him because of the life he had led. Once I put that together the meeting was clear.

The mother has spent her own life holding grudges, and let herself to be weighed down by resentment and her own unwillingness to forgive. She died before she could make amends and lighten her own load by forgiving the people in her life. She didn’t want the same thing for her own daughter. With the perspective she had gained in the afterlife, she was able to see the damage that refusing to forgive her sister was doing to her daughter and like the ghost of Jacob Marley, she was coming through to protect her daughter from her own future, and to encourage her to reconnect with her sister.

I actually referenced a Christmas Carol to the woman when I explained why it was so important to her mother that she reach out to her sister. She finally listened, and she started crying. “My mother was always so bitter and unhappy – and I’ve been feeling that way too.” After a few more messages back and forth between mother and daughter, the daughter softened up. I have a feeling she didn’t wait long before contacting her sister.

If you’re feeling weighed down by your anger toward someone or something, I hope you’ll give yourself the chance to let go of those “chains” and forgive. I promise you’ll feel lighter, happier and more optimistic. I can’t think of a better gift to give yourself this season.

Synchronicity from the Spirit Realm

Synchronicity from the Spirit Realm

Have you ever experienced a coincidence so unique and perfectly timed that you’re convinced Spirit orchestrated the whole thing, just to send you a message?

A woman came up to me after an event wanting to share a story. She felt that as a medium I could validate her belief that she had received guidance from beyond. She had been in a difficult, emotionally abusive marriage and had reached a breaking point. “I knew it was killing me to stay, but I thought I should keep trying. I didn’t know what to do.” That evening, she checked her voicemail and heard her husband’s voice. Somehow, she was overhearing a conversation he was having. About her. “He was talking about diary entries I had written. Private things I had never shared with another person. He had read my diary and was mocking me.” Painful as it was to experience this betrayal, she listened to the whole message. “He must have had this conversation from his office phone,” she told me, “but his cell phone somehow called the house number at just the right time.” She looked at me with a pained expression. “I felt like my late grandmother had pressed talk on his cell phone, so it would call the house. As though she wanted me to hear what he said and see the kind of person he really is. That Message let me have the courage to leave. She found a way to reach me.” Tears welled in her eyes. “Am I crazy to believe that?”

To feel her grandmother’s presence, to believe she was being helped from the other side by a woman who had loved and nurtured her is not crazy. Not at all.

I have heard so many stories of perfectly timed voicemails, people who appear in our lives just when we need them, a song with just the right lyrics that help answer a difficult question. These experiences are too powerful to be mere coincidence. They are moments of synchronicity that bring comfort in times of pain and guidance in times of uncertainty. They are the signposts that help us know we are on the right path or help steer us onto a new one. We just need to open our eyes, and our hearts, to hear the message and receive the gift.

A friend once shared her own experience with learning to see and appreciate synchronicity in her own life. She started a practice of writing down three miracles a day. “When I first heard this suggestion, I thought it was crazy,” she told me. “Miracles were things that happen to saints, not to ordinary people.” She mocked the exercise at first. “I got the great parking spot right in front of Walmart,” she said. Miracle. But even that simple example helped open her eyes. In a sad moment, she saw a butterfly flit by. “It felt as though the universe were saying hello.” Miracle. Then, she had an unexpected expense followed immediately by an unexpected opportunity for extra money. Miracle. “Now, I see miracles everywhere,” she said.

Many people would dismiss these experiences as coincidence and miss the opportunity to feel the connectedness. Our loved ones are there, and they want to help us. Miracle, synchronicity, the touch of a hand from the other side. When our hearts are open, and we are willing to change our perspective, the universe conspires to help us along the journey.

If you want to work on changing your perspective, so you can start seeing coincidence as loving guidance, I encourage you to try my friend’s exercise. Write down three miracles a day and see what happens.

Is Spirit Trying to Tell You Something?

Is Spirit Trying to Tell You Something?

Do you sometimes wish the universe would give you a little help navigating life’s challenges? I have good news! You receive messages and signs from loved ones in heaven, guardian angels, and your own intuition more often than you realize. To prove my point, think back and ask yourself – have any of these things ever happened to you?

• You think about an old friend for the first time in years, and shortly after, they call you or send you a friend request on Facebook.
• You overhear an unusual phrase that has a special significance to you – multiple times in the same day.
• A loved one who has passed crosses your mind, and with perfect timing, their favorite song comes on the radio.
• You spot a billboard or newspaper headline by chance, and realize it contains the answer to a problem you have been struggling with.
• You’re driving, and you instinctively slow down or swerve to avoid a hazard that you weren’t consciously aware of.

To me, these “coincidences” prove that intuition, angels and spirit is a very real part of everyday life. To attract as much helpful guidance as possible you just have to be open and receptive!

Here are a couple of ways to make the most of synchronicities that come your way, and get the most benefit from them.

Look for the message hidden in unusual events.

Keep an eye open for signs and signals, and when the occur, ask yourself “What is the message here?” For example, when you run into an old friend who has been on your mind, consider the fact that your paths may have crossed for a reason. Maybe they were sent to remind you of how far you have come since you last saw them, or maybe it’s the opposite – and you have drifted too far from the person you once were. Maybe this person will provide you with a great opportunity, or introduce you to your soul mate!

If a phrase catches your attention several times in a single day, take a minute to focus on it. Write the words down and repeat them out loud a few times. Even if you don’t understand the message right away, have faith that the meaning will become crystal clear in time.

Be mindful as you go about your day – and night.

If you’re always hurrying around, glued to your phone and focused on checking off the next item on your list, you might miss subtle signs that could guide you on your journey. Set your intention to go about your day mindfully, tuning in to what’s happening around you. You might be surprised at the number of guiding messages you receive! When your day is over and it’s time for bed, be sure to keep a dream journal near by and jot down your dreams as soon as you wake up – some of the most profound messages come when you’re in a dream state.

Trust your intuition, your angels and your loved ones in heaven.

Even when life gets complicated, and you’re faced with difficult choices, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Loved ones who have passed, angels, and your own inner compass will provide you with the support and guidance you need – so don’t be afraid to ask for help, and trust that you’ll get the answers you’re looking for.

Take time to work on your intuition, and strengthen your relationship with your angels and guides.

You have everything you need to receive divine signs and messages –you just might need a little help! I offer online master classes that will help you connect with your guardian angels, enhance your own intuition, and even receive messages from loved ones on the other side. You can explore all of the options here!
