PEOPLE: Matt Fraser & Alexa Papigiotis Married!

PEOPLE: Matt Fraser & Alexa Papigiotis Married!

Alexa Papigiotis and Matt Fraser are married.

Matt Fraser and Alexa Papigiotis are officially husband and wife.  The psychic medium and his bride, who are featured on E!’s Meet the Frasers, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday.  Scroll through to see all the photos from their “magical” day

Fraser, 30, and Papigiotis, 23, met in January 2017, when her messaged her on Instagram asking her out to coffee — a very “21st century” love story, they told PEOPLE.

Over two years later, in May 2019, he popped the question and the pair got engaged.

Their nuptials were originally scheduled for February but, like many other couples over the past two years, they delayed the date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fraser said the postponement was a blessing in disguise. “It allowed us to give everyone time to get vaccinated,” he said. “But then at the same time, you need every minute that you can to plan and to prep — it’s literally taken us two years to plan this wedding.”

About 93 friends and family members were in attendance for the ceremony and party at the historic Henry Morrison Flagler Museum in Palm Beach.

The venue was originally built as a wedding gift for the owner’s wife in 1902. “We’re literally getting married inside of a wedding gift,” Fraser said of the “breathtaking” waterfront location.

Papigiotis said the museum location made for a “magical” day. “It is the most amazing place — we could not have picked anywhere better. It’s so romantic, it’s charming, it’s magical,” the former Miss Rhode Island Teen USA said. “Every time we’re on the grounds, it just feels like you’re in a movie.”

The bride said the design and decorations were true to their “extra” selves, with plenty of gold and glittery accents, as well as a “humongous” light-up sign of their last name.

The event also featured various personal touches. When guests arrived, a string quartet played a song from Beauty and the Beast in honor of Papigiotis’ love of Disney, and later on, a cappuccino cart marked Fraser’s love of coffee.

In addition to cake, the duo served up McDonald’s Happy Meals to each of their guests at the end of the night — an homage to their mutual love of junk food.

As for their outfits, the couple said a lot of thought went into their wedding looks. “We love fashion so what we’re all wearing and looking like as a bridal party was very important to us,” Papigiotis said

Fraser went “classic” with a black tuxedo, while his groomsmen wore complimentary white tuxes.

Papigiotis, meanwhile, stunned in a lace-adorned gown, which she made sure Fraser didn’t see until their first look just before the ceremony. Her bridal party, composed of all family members, wore one-shoulder black dresses and elegant opera gloves.

Papigiotis told PEOPLE the first look was what she was most looking forward to about the wedding. “I got my gown a year and a half ago and I was never able to tell him what it looks like — he has no idea what I’m going to look like on that day,” she said ahead of the ceremony. “So I’m just so excited to see him for that first time and have a really intimate moment together before we see everybody else.”

Next up, Fraser and Papigiotis will be jetting off to Barbados for their honeymoon.

Once they return, they said they both agree that kids are the next step for their relationship.

“We are ready for kids,” Papigiotis said. “We are so excited. We’re going to, God willing, start trying right away, and we are just so excited to make our own little family and raise children together. That is our top priority for married life.”

Psychic Medium Matt Fraser Promises

We’re Going To Laugh, Cry And Maybe Even Wet Our Pants.

By Barb Oates

Brutally honest, impeccably dressed and with an ego like no other, 28-year-old psychic medium Matt Fraser is one entertaining whirlwind.

The Rhode Island superstar has been wowing fans for years with his self-claimed ability to communicate with the dead, and he is now the subject of E!’s new Meet the Frasers. He’s also got a book coming out in March titled When Heaven Calls: Life Lessons From America’s Top Psychic Medium. Helping Matt handle his growing fame are his psychic mother (who thinks she’s his manager), his skeptic father and sister (they don’t buy into talking to the dead), and his pageant queen girlfriend (she desperately wants him to put a ring on it). Here, the self-obsessed, no-filter psychic tells us more on what we can expect.

Both you and your mom have psychic abilities. Can you explain how that works?

Matt Fraser: When I walk out into the audience or no matter where I go, I

Matt can see the departed standing there. Fraser It actually started when I was 4 years old. My grandmother was a medium,

who has since passed on, my mom is a medium, and so am I. But we all have gifts that are different.

My mom can see things in tea leaves and coffee grinds. I can’t. That’s not an ability that I have. I will see, literally, the departed person.

Yet your father and sister are skeptics?

My father’s a complete skeptic. He’s the biggest pain in my @#$. I think he has a hard time with it because he wasn’t there for most of my childhood because he was out to sea protecting the country. [His father is retired from the Navy.] He didn’t experience the things that my mom did. He doesn’t realize that when I was younger I’d be waking up in the middle of the night screaming and crying because I was hearing dead people. … My sister [Maria] was a skeptic because she was born with no ability. She was like that child on Harry Potter that just didn’t have any magical powers.

How are you different from other TV mediums we’ve seen?

I want to deliver messages that are going to make people laugh and loosen people up. … I always tell my audience, “Listen. We’re going to laugh. We’re going to cry. We’re going to @#$% our pants tonight. It’s going to be a roller coaster of emotions.” And it’s amazing because people come in and they have the tissue boxes and they’re anxious and nervous, but they leave laughing and feeling hopeful and inspired. And that’s just how I know my work is done.

So how does your gift work? Do the spirits tell you their name? Are they like, “Hey, it’s Josh, I’m trying to reach Carol”?

Yeah, exactly. I’ll hear names, dates and places. Sometimes it’s more specific than others. They’ll always give me information. … Sometimes when I talk to myself, [my girlfriend] Alexa is like, “Who are you talking to?” And I’m like, “Well, you know, I’m psychic. I talk to dead people. I’m just having a staff meeting.” That’s what it’s like for me. There’s always people talking or always people around that are communicating. … But anytime a soul comes through, it’s because there’s a message there that has to be delivered.

Do spirits fight to try to get you attention?

They do if there is a message that needs to be delivered. Somebody wouldn’t just come through, like a grandmother wouldn’t just come through and talk about a couch set of hers. It has to be something specific. It would have to be that either you didn’t get to say goodbye or maybe there was something when she left this world that was unsaid.

E! ONLINE: I Got a Reading From Psychic Medium Matt Fraser & Totally Cried!

E! ONLINE: I Got a Reading From Psychic Medium Matt Fraser & Totally Cried!

When it comes to psychics, the other side and spirits, I’ve always been a believer. Ask any of my friends, they’ll tell you of my tarot cards parties and my love of the supernatural.Yet, I still wasn’t prepared for the encounter I had with psychic medium Matt Fraser on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Fraser, alongside his beauty queen love Alexa Papigiotis, has a new docu-series Meet the Fraserscoming to E! (premiering Monday, Jan. 13, to be exact). Thus, I originally sat down with the new E! couple to discuss their relationship, their entertaining family and so much more.

Not only were Fraser and Papigiotis incredibly warm and generous, but they were also very forthcoming. Perhaps, this is why I was emboldened to ask if any spirits tried to connect with me during our sit down.

Initially, Fraser gave me a flat out, “No.” However, per the 28-year-old clairvoyant, he can compartmentalize the voices during an interview.

Before I could assure him that a reading was not necessary, Fraser began sifting through the spirits reaching out to him.

“Who died in tragedy in your family?” the Meet the Frasers medium asked.

Upon hearing this question, my chest tightened and my eyes began to fight back tears. I knew immediately whom he was referring to.On October 20, 2018, my aunt, Susan Ray, unexpectedly died in a car accident. As Fraser connected with my late aunt, he began touching upon things that only intimate family members would know.

For starters, before learning the cause of death, he made reference to her quick passing and noted that she regretted not seeing everybody before dying.

My aunt passed away on her 50th birthday and we had a family party planned for the next day. I hadn’t even spoken to her as I had just arrived from Los Angeles that day.

On top of addressing my aunt’s untimely passing, he also brought up her lengthy health struggles. Of course, this was particularly surprising to hear as Susan’s hardships were something we rarely discussed outside the family.”She says to me, ‘I was having an issue both physically and also emotionally. I want to tell my family that I’m sorry for everything that had happened,'” Fraser relayed. “Because, she had died so quickly and not only did everyone not get to say goodbye, but they were kept out of the loop of everything that was going on.”

For many years, my aunt suffered from unexplained seizures, gastrointestinal issues and more. In fact, we never truly got clarity on what was wrong with her.

Matt Fraser, Alexa Papigiotis, Meet the Frasers

“She says, what was going on with her body, they were having an issue diagnosing her. She’s showing her going back and forth to the doctors and not being able to understand what was going on with her,” the new E! personality expressed. “I’ll feel a spirit and I felt it all in my stomach, this pain.”As he continued the reading, Fraser highlighted how my aunt struggled with depression due to her illness. Thankfully, he assured me that she was as vibrant as she was pre-sickness on the other side.

Still, I was most shocked when Fraser seemingly solved how my aunt ended up in a car accident. Without being told the specifics of her death, Fraser said (while channeling the spirit) that he felt like he was “being run over by a car.”

“I feel like I’m almost being run over by a car. There’s this huge pain, right here,” Fraser said while gesturing to his stomach. “She says, ‘I was just trying to get through what was going on with my body and all of a sudden, I felt this crushing and I just died.'”Furthermore, Fraser believed Susan began to die “before the car accident” as she had “a rupture.” This fact left me choked up as, in the year following her death, we still didn’t have clarity into what caused her accident.

Per an eye witness, Susan was driving her car normally before accelerating to a high speed. It’s said she swerved a few times before hitting several cars.

“I tell you one thing, she would’ve passed anyway,” the psychic medium turned reality star concluded. “So, whether she was in that car accident or not—I hate to say it like that, but I gotta tell you the truth—she says to me, ‘I wouldn’t have made it.'”

I don’t think I can accurately put into words the impact this reading had on me. But, what I can tell you is, I one hundred percent cried in my car afterwards.

Holidays In Heaven

Holidays In Heaven

My family loves any occasion when they can be together, eat, drink, and have a good time.

Oh, and for Alexa and I, if we have a reason to get dressed up – even better! Weddings, graduations, holidays, you name it; when there’s a celebration going on you can count us in. If you check out the preview for my new television show for a few minutes, you’ll see we’re not afraid to let loose and show our feelings. What can I say, we’re Italian!

Alexa and I love to bring back old traditions. This year we started to sending out personalized Christmas Cards. We hope to save them and send a new one out every year with a personal picture. Our life has been so hectic lately with touring, traveling and filming that we haven’t gotten to see some of our old friends or extended family. We wanted them to know that we still think about them so we decided this year to send out personal cards. We gathered our three bengal cats, got dressed up and sat under the Christmas tree in our matching outfits for the photo for our card.

For people like us, as much as we love the holidays and everything that comes with them, they are not without the occasional tearful moment. Because the time of year is so packed with family traditions and happy memories, it naturally makes us remember our departed friends and relatives and wish they were still around to share the festivities.

When I was a kid growing up, I just adored my grandma Mary. She was a medium too, and she really understood me. She crosses my mind often, but especially during times of celebration, since she loved nothing more than to cook and share good times with family. I have to admit whenever we’re sitting down for a big meal, I miss her cooking. Alexa and I still use some of her recipes when prepare our own holiday feast.

And that reminds me of what I wanted to tell you!

You don’t have to go through the holidays without the presence of all of the people you love, even those who have passed over. Here are a few ways to “prop open the door to Heaven” and experience loving signs and energy from souls on the other side.

Hey, don’t take that the wrong way! I’m not giving you tips to have a “haunted holiday”. This isn’t something scary – the energy I’m talking about is pure love and compassion.

Here are some ways to enhance the connection with your friends and loved one in Heaven:

  • Keep their favorite traditions alive while creating your own. Whenever Alexa and I prepare one of Grandma’s recipes, I feel her standing over me, reminding me to add a little more salt. If you’re not a cook, don’t worry – you can play a favorite Christmas carol or hang a loved one’s cherished holiday ornament on your tree.

  • Talk about them! Don’t hesitate to talk about those who can’t be with you. Sharing stories and memories makes you feel close and is a healing way of staying connected. The worst thing anyone can do is to stop talking about someone when they pass to avoid making people sad. That just makes everyone miss them more.

  • Set a place at the table. If you have space, leave an empty chair and place setting for a relative who can’t be with you. Prop their photo against a wine glass and make a toast to their memory.

  • Allow yourself some quiet time when you can remember the loved ones who are no longer with you. You might want to say a little prayer or write about them in your journal. Doing so will let them know how grateful you are that they were a part of your life.

  • Look for signs from heaven – and take it one step further. You can start the day by having a silent conversation to your loved one and ask them to send you a sign. You can even get specific and ask for a certain kind of sign that’s meaningful to both of you. Then stay alert and watch what happens!

If I have learned anything from being a medium, it’s that death isn’t the end. Once you realize that it takes the edge off of grieving and missing those you have lost. And when family gathers, it’s wonderful to know that no one is missing. Everyone is there, either in body or in spirit.

If you’ve recently lost someone, of course it’s normal to be sad – but it helps to remember that your loved ones are always with you.
