The Good Karma Piggy Bank: Why Your Secret Kindnesses Matter to Heaven

Matt Fraser in a blue jacket smiles as he places a gold coin into a white piggy bank labeled "GOOD KARMA" on a table, with coins and a small blue pouch nearby.

Have you ever held the door open for someone, only to have them walk through without even a glance your way? Or maybe you’ve picked up someone’s dropped groceries in the parking lot, and instead of a thank you, you got attitude? I’m going to let you in on something that’ll change how you feel about every single good thing you do, whether anyone notices or not.

The universe is keeping score. And trust me, it’s got a way better memory than the person who just blew past you without saying thanks.

The Cosmic Piggy Bank You Didn’t Know You Had

Think about a piggy bank for a second. Every time you drop in a coin, it makes that satisfying clink. You might not see what’s happening inside, but those coins are stacking up. That’s exactly how good karma works, except your piggy bank isn’t sitting on a shelf. It’s in heaven, and your angels are the ones making the deposits.

Every kind thing you do, every moment of compassion, every time you choose love over anger… clink. Another deposit made.

The beautiful part? You don’t need witnesses. You don’t need a thank you. You don’t even need the person you helped to realize what you did. The universe sees it all.

When Nobody’s Watching (Except Everyone in Heaven)

I can’t tell you how many times spirits have come through during my readings to thank their loved ones for things nobody else knew about. A woman once came to me asking about her late father. During the reading, he showed me an image of her stopping on the highway to help a stranded driver change a tire in the pouring rain.

She started crying. “That happened three days after he died,” she said. “I almost didn’t stop because I was running late, but something told me to pull over. I thought about what Dad would have done.”

Her father wanted her to know he WAS there. He saw her choose kindness even when it was inconvenient. Even when nobody was watching.

But here’s the thing: somebody is always watching. Your angels, your spirit guides, your loved ones who’ve crossed over, they’re all cheering you on every time you do something good. They see you leave the extra tip for the struggling server. They notice when you let someone merge in traffic even though you’re already late. They watch you bite your tongue when you could have been cruel.

Every single act of kindness gets recorded in your cosmic piggy bank.

But What About When People Don’t Appreciate It?

This one gets me all the time. I’ve had clients tell me they’re giving up on being kind because people just take advantage of them or don’t say thank you. I get it. It stings when you go out of your way for someone and they don’t even acknowledge it.

Here’s what the spirits have shown me over and over again: the person who receives your kindness doesn’t determine its value. The universe does.

Let me tell you about a reading I did a few years back. A young woman came to me feeling bitter and burned out. She’d been caring for her difficult mother-in-law for years before the woman passed, and she never got so much as a thank you. Not once. The mother-in-law was critical until the very end.

When her spirit came through, she was different. Softer. She wanted her daughter-in-law to know that every meal prepared, every doctor’s appointment attended, every moment of patience… she saw it now. On the other side, she understood. But more importantly, heaven had been recording it all along.

That daughter-in-law’s good karma piggy bank was overflowing, whether her mother-in-law had appreciated it in life or not.

The Universe Has Perfect Timing

You know what I love most about how karma works? It comes back to you exactly when you need it most. Not always when you expect it, but always when you need it.

I’ve seen it happen in readings countless times. Someone who spent years quietly helping others suddenly finds themselves surrounded by support during their darkest hour. The person who always gave without expecting anything back somehow always has what they need, even when things look impossible.

It’s not coincidence. It’s your piggy bank paying out.

A client of mine used to volunteer at a soup kitchen every Saturday morning. Just showed up, no fanfare, no social media posts about it. Just quietly served food and talked to people nobody else wanted to talk to. Years later, when he lost his job and was facing eviction, a stranger approached him at a coffee shop. Turned out this stranger had been one of the people he’d served years before, and now owned a successful business. He offered my client a job on the spot.

Divine timing? Absolutely. But it was also karma coming full circle.

Even Your Smallest Acts Matter

Here’s where people get it wrong. They think karma is only about big, dramatic acts of kindness. Donating to charity. Saving someone’s life. Grand gestures.

But your angels don’t see it that way. They’re tracking the smile you gave the cashier who looked like they were having a terrible day. The compliment you paid someone who needed to hear something nice. The few extra minutes you spent listening to your friend vent about their problems.

All of it counts. All of it matters.

Think of it this way: would you rather have a piggy bank with a few hundred-dollar bills, or thousands of coins that add up to the same amount? The universe takes everything. No act of kindness is too small to be noticed by heaven.

What Spirits Say About Earthly Kindness

As a psychic medium, I’ve connected with thousands of spirits over the years. You want to know what they talk about from the other side? It’s not their bank accounts. It’s not their job titles or their cars or how many followers they had on social media.

They talk about the times they were kind. The times they chose love. The moments when they made someone else’s life a little bit easier.

And they want to remind you that you’re being watched over and celebrated every time you do the same.

Your loved ones in heaven aren’t just watching you during the hard times. They’re there during your moments of grace, too. They see you choosing compassion. They feel the love you put out into the world. And they’re so proud of you for it.

The Karma That Protects You

I have to share this because it’s something spirits have shown me repeatedly: good karma doesn’t just come back as blessings. It also acts as protection.

When you keep your good karma piggy bank full, it creates this energetic shield around you. Bad situations that could have gone worse somehow work out. Near-misses that should have been disasters turn into close calls. Toxic people who could have caused real damage somehow just… move along.

Your angels can’t interfere with your free will or the free will of others, but a healthy karma balance gives them more room to work on your behalf. It’s like they have more cosmic currency to spend protecting and guiding you.

Pretty powerful, right?

Keep Making Deposits

So here’s what I want you to remember the next time you do something kind and it goes unnoticed or unappreciated: you just made a deposit in the most important bank account you’ll ever have.

The person who didn’t say thank you? That’s between them and their own karma. Your karma is your business, and it’s looking really good right now.

Keep being kind. Keep choosing love. Keep doing good things even when nobody’s watching, because somebody is always watching. Your angels are keeping perfect records, and the universe has an impeccable memory.

And one day, probably when you need it most, you’re going to find yourself on the receiving end of unexpected kindness, mysterious good fortune, or a miracle you can’t quite explain. That’s not luck. That’s your piggy bank paying out.

Your Assignment from Heaven

Want to know what your angels want you to do right now? Start noticing your own kindness. Not in a bragging way, but just acknowledge it. “I made a deposit today.” Let yourself feel good about choosing compassion.

And don’t wait for the payoff. Don’t keep score or wonder when your karma will come back around. Just trust that it will. The universe has never missed a payment yet.

Your loved ones in heaven are watching you become the person you’re meant to be, one kind act at a time. Make them proud. Make yourself proud. And watch what the universe does with all those deposits you’re making.

  1. Thanks Matt. I always try to make someone smile. I hold a door open, I tell workers that they are doing a good job. I say good morning or just smile at someone as I walk past them. It costs nothing to be kind and considerate. A small gesture can make a huge difference. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️
