I call it a “soul-merge” or an energetic explosion. Imagine two bright lights coming together until they become one giant, brilliant flame. It is a total exchange of thoughts, feelings, memories, and pure unconditional love. It is much more satisfying than anything we can experience in these clunky physical bodies because there are no barriers. There is no faking it, no insecurity, and no physical limitations. It is the ultimate “soul-gasm.”
The Story of the Bedside Validation
I know this topic can feel a bit taboo, but the spirits often bring it up to prove they are still part of our lives. I remember doing a group reading a few years back where a woman’s late husband came through. He was being very insistent about showing me their bedroom.
Usually, when a spirit shows me a bedroom, they are pointing out a photo on the nightstand or a piece of jewelry left in a drawer. But this guy was different. He kept pointing to the space under the bed and then to a specific drawer in the nightstand.
I started describing the room to her. I said, “He is showing me your bed, and he’s laughing. He’s showing me… well, he’s showing me a collection of ‘things’ you’ve kept in that side drawer.”
The whole room went silent. The woman turned bright red, but then she started laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes. She said, “Matt, nobody knows about that! I bought those after he passed because I was lonely and trying to move on, but I felt so guilty about it.”
Her husband’s message to her was simple: “Don’t feel guilty. I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself and finding joy.” It was a hilarious, awkward, but deeply validating moment. It proved that he wasn’t “gone” and that he wasn’t judging her for being a human being with human needs.
Do the Dead Watch Us in the Shower?
This is the big fear, isn’t it? You are standing there in the shower, or you are having an intimate night with a new partner, and suddenly you think, Is my father-in-law watching this?
Let me put your mind at ease: The answer is almost always no.
Spirits respect our privacy. They are not “peeping Toms” lurking in the corners of your bathroom. When your loved ones look down on you from heaven, they aren’t looking at your physical nakedness. They don’t care about your cellulite, your messy hair, or the fact that you haven’t shaved your legs. They see your soul.
To a spirit, watching someone shower or have sex would be like us watching someone brush their teeth. It is just a mundane physical task. They are much more interested in your emotional state. If you are having an intimate moment and you are feeling loved, cherished, and happy, they feel that vibration of happiness. They celebrate the love you are experiencing, but they aren’t interested in the “mechanics” of the act itself.
They have much better things to do in the afterlife than hang out in your bathroom. They are busy learning, growing, and guiding you from a higher perspective. So, the next time you are worried about “company” in the bedroom, just take a deep breath and relax. You have your privacy.
The Energy Trade-Off: Why Your Partner Matters
While the dead aren’t judging your bedroom antics, there is a very real spiritual reason why you should be picky about who you let into your space.
Sex is one of the most powerful energy exchanges we have as human beings. When you are intimate with someone, you aren’t just sharing a physical moment. You are intertwining your auras. You are trading energy.

They understand that we are spirits having a physical experience, and that includes the desire for touch and connection. They don’t care if you are into “kink,” if you have multiple partners, or if you prefer to be alone.
The only thing they care about is the intent behind the action. Is there love? Is there respect? Is there joy?
In heaven, there is no “shame.” Shame is a human emotion that we create because of society, religion, or our own insecurities. Once you cross over, all of that falls away.
