You don’t need to hop on a plane or drive across the country to connect with your loved ones on the other side. That’s the beauty of what I do now with my online group readings. Here’s how I explain it to people who are curious about how online readings actually work. Think of it like a three-way phone call. When you log on and attend one of my online group readings, you’re not showing up alone. You bring your loved ones in spirit with you. Their soul is connected to yours, and I can feel and sense them just as clearly as if we were all sitting in the same room together.
The energy doesn’t get lost through a screen. If anything, it’s just as powerful because you’re in your own comfortable space, often surrounded by photos and meaningful items that belonged to those you’re hoping to hear from.
How Spirit Chooses Who Gets Read
A lot of people ask me, “Matt, how do you know who to read when you’re looking at all those little video boxes on your screen?” The answer is simple: I don’t choose. Spirit does.
When I’m conducting an online group reading, I have all these video blocks on my screen showing everyone who’s attending. And then spirit shows up. Sometimes I’ll hear a voice loud and clear telling me, “Go talk to Julie. I’m her mother.” Other times, I’ll see a silhouette of a man standing right behind Jon on camera, and when I connect with that energy, I know immediately it’s his father.
There are also moments when spirits come through with a direct message and I have to go searching for the right person among all the attendees. I might get a specific detail like, “Tell her about the red cardinal” or “Ask him about the watch,” and then I’m scanning the screen looking for whoever that message belongs to.
It’s actually beautiful to watch it unfold. Spirit knows exactly who needs to hear what, and when.
What If I Don’t Get a Reading?
This is the number one concern I hear, and I completely understand it. You’re investing your time and energy, and you’re hoping so badly to hear from someone. But here’s what I need you to know: not everybody gets a reading because not every spirit is ready to communicate. Even with private readings, there’s no guarantee.
So far, I’ve been able to read over 2,000 people through my online group readings, and that number keeps growing. But the reality is that spirit works on their own timeline. Sometimes they need you to be in the right emotional space to truly receive their message. Sometimes they’re waiting for a specific moment that means more.
That’s exactly why I keep my online group readings affordable at just under $30 to attend. It’s accessible healing. Even if you don’t receive a direct message during that particular reading, you might hear something you desperately needed to know just by listening to someone else’s reading. You might feel a sense of peace wash over you. You might finally understand how the afterlife works.
But the saddest thing to me? When somebody doesn’t attend because they’re afraid they won’t hear a message. You’re closing the door before you even give spirit a chance to reach you.
The Woman Who Needed to See It First
I’ll never forget this one woman who came to an online group reading. The first time she attended, she didn’t get a message. I could sense her disappointment even through the screen. But she came back a second time, and that’s when her son came through with an incredible, detailed message.
He told me something that stopped me in my tracks. He said he didn’t come through the first time on purpose. He wanted his mom to see other people receive messages first. She wasn’t open in the beginning. She was skeptical, hurting, and honestly, she wasn’t ready. He wanted to make sure that when he finally came through, she would be able to fully connect with him and understand what he needed to say.
She was doubtful about trying again, but something made her attend that second online reading. And when he came through, everything changed. He’d taken his own life, and he was able to explain to her in detail what had happened and why. The closure she received was profound.
What happened next really touched my heart. After that reading, she attended almost every single one. I finally asked her why she kept coming back even after getting her message. She said that even though she’d heard from her son, it was still so healing for her just to be there. She also told me that she knew by being online, she was creating an opportunity. If her son ever had another message for her, he would come through.
And he did. Not every time, but at certain moments when he had something specific to share, he would show up during the online readings. Each message was different. Each one brought her another piece of healing.
It’s More Than Just Messages
What I love about the online group reading experience is that it’s not only about getting a direct reading. You get to learn about the afterlife in real time. You witness how spirit communicates, why they come through, what matters to them on the other side. It’s group healing in the truest sense.

Two weeks before my mom passed away from a rare lung disease, during the her final last two weeks alive my brother heard her talking to someone in her bedroom. My mom was on oxygen she couldn’t breathe very well or move without help even with her oxygen hooked up to her. My brother entered her bedroom she was setting on the edge of the bed with no help and she looked so happy and not out of breath. My brother asked her who’s she talking to she said your father, my dad had died three years before she told my brother he’s over standing by the closet my mom said he had on his black suit and white shirt and he wasn’t sick anymore and and he looked so healthy. my IPhone and my IPad went berserk. I really believed it was my dad coming through. However, you couldn’t hear me and vice versa. I did hear you say that you would get back to me at the end of session. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear back from you. Yes, I was bummed out. I do want to try another group reading. He passed on due to Pancreatic cancer. I have Stage 4 lung cancer (I never smoked) it’s the non-smoker lung cancer. I have innumerable brain tumors. Hello Matt. I think it’s wonderful that you have this ability to connect with the spirit world, I have this ability too since I was a very young girl. I’ve had a very hard life growing up. I came from a big family and yet I always felt like I didn’t belong. My Daddy was the only one that was always there for me, unfortunately he passed away when I was 15. My Mother was very good with my siblings but not me.I can honestly say I never felt that love that I needed. I am now 72 and I have my kids, grandkids, and great grandkids to somewhat fill in that void. Maybe someday I will find the answers that I need.
